Mahlzeit! (2025)

A pixilation animation inspired by Jan Švankmajer’s and Wes Anderson’s work. A man tries to eat his soup but as luck would have it there’s a bug swimming in it.

Raskolnikov’s Dilemma (2025 WIP)

An animation depicting the opening scene of Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment. Poor student Raskolnikov must pawn his watch to a greedy pawnbroker. He’s ridden with thoughts of manslaughter and revenge but must restrain himself.

Do not go gentle into that good night animatic (2024)

An animatic  depicting the poem by the Welsh author Dylan Thomas “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” - this project was created as part of my Bachelor’s thesis on the influence of visual imagery in the depiction of metaphors, as pertaining to animated films.

Do not go gentle into that good night 1st animatic (2024)

dFirst animatic created for the project to check for timing and comprehensibility.

Security Check (2024)

A normal security check at an airport - but not all is as it seems.

When a clown steps through the gate, the security guards notice his bag is suspiciously mysterious.
Upon inspection, the bag surprises with just how much it can carry. An absurdist 2D animation playing with the idea of infinite volume inside a normal travel bag.
Character designs, storyboarding and the key frames were done by me.

Group university project, done in Procreate, Photoshop and After Effects.

Security Check  Storyboard

Due to the time constraint of the project, the original design of the characters (as seen in the storyboard) had to be simplified. I boiled down the characters to their basic shapes and chose a simple palette for them - black and a key color for the security characters, and an accent red color for the clown.

The Gate (2023)

Animatic created for the poem by Marie Howe - “The Gate”, written about her deceased brother. The poem has a bitter-sweet melancholic feel to it, the whole thing in itself a call towards the romanticization of the banal and the tedious in life.
The frames were drawn in Procreate, assembled and animated in After Effects, for a university project.

Todesfuge (2021)

Animatic for the seminal poem by Paul Celan, a Romanian-born german speaking poet, who recounts his experience at a concentration camp in his haunting poem “Todesfuge”. This was created and compiled in Blender’s Grease Pencil for a university project.
